Thursday Europe Forecast

Thursday Europe Forecast

It should be mostly dry across much of Europe today, bar heavy rain in parts of South Eastern Spain that could produce significant flooding for that area (the Spanish Met Organisation has warnings enforced)

Over much of the rest of Europe it should remain mainly dry, parts of Norway, in the north could see more prolonged rain over the course of today, but it shouldn't be too heavy I don't think. Over the course of tonight much of Europe should dry out, although increasingly parts of North western Europe, in Scotland and parts of Ireland they may see increasingly light rain, in the far, far west in the early hours on Friday but other than that both the United Kingdom and Ireland should remain mostly dry.

The heavy patch of rain in the East of Spain doesn't look like it'll be leaving anytime fast, the heaviest band of rain looks as though it'll ride up the Eastern coast, into the night, before the heaviest rains move westward to parts of central Spain. Over the course of the night though, things do look like they'll dry out specifically for South Eastern parts, Northern areas of Spain should remain dry, and Portugal should remain dry too bar a few showers in the Southern regions.

It should be mild across much of Europe today, parts of England could see highs of 12-15/16 Celsius today. Similarly for Poland where they could see temperatures into the mid-high teens today, maybe at a push low twenties.

The cooler conditions across Europe will be in parts of Norway, Sweden and Finland, where temperatures in the Midland areas to Northern parts of Sweden could remain in single figures.

Coastal Norway will struggle to reach double figures, today, the remainder of Norway will be below 10 Celsius mostly.

Temperatures tonight across Europe won't drop drastically, in France they'll remain mostly in double figures, 9-13 or 14 celsius should be expected here, warmer in Midland, and Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts.

In Germany, northern and southern parts will drop below 10 Celsius, 5-9 Celsius should be expected here, but around central areas 9-14 Celsius should be mostly expected in these parts.

In Both Ireland and the UK, temperatures of 4-7 Celsius should be expected in both countries tonight.

Spring Forecast

Spring Forecast March I'm expecting an unsettled, chillier than average or average start to March but not particularly cold. But quite quickly I expect high pressure to reestablish over the UK, possibly mid-month. Which for a time could bring quite mild weather for March. I expect it to become quite a bit drier also, maybe very dry, the dry weather could be alleviated in some areas by one off downpours here and there. In my personal opinion, I do think we could see some exceptionally mild weather later in March too. That's just my opinion. April in my view I think things may switch a bit to be on the cooler side, northerly winds could become prominent in this month, I do think there could be some snowfall when we do get northerly winds but whereabouts is obviously unknown at this stage. But personally I think April will be a cooler than average or average month. Rainfall I think it could be a bit drier than average for some parts or on the average side. (Here...

Winter Forecast 2018/19

Winter Forecast 2019 Not for definite, and my personal opinion, from what I've seen. I think this Winter personally will be quite chilly, becoming colder, with a quite chilly December,  (not overly cold) with some snow, possibly similar to last year, but I think the snow in December won't come as early as 2017, probably a bit later. I don't think that December 2018, will be a severe cold month, no December 2009, 1995, or 2010 (of course) But I don't see a overly mild December like 2015, 2016 etc. I do think that December 2018 will probably be similar to 2017, in terms of temperatures possibly a bit milder. Overall quite an average month in terms of rainfall, due to a very mild and unsettled first half, we'll probably see some northerly incursions giving a few snow showers, we will probably see high pressure interludes more than usual, but at the same time I don't think this December will solely be dominated by high pressure. This December will probabl...
